More in Heritage & tourism.
TRAILITAGE
This cross-border cooperation initiative between Kosovo and Montenegro strengthens the economic and tourism development of Gjakova (Kosovo) and Berane (Montenegro) by integrating their cultural and natural heritage into a unified tourism offer. The project focuses on infrastructure upgrades including conservation work, new tourist information facilities, and a cross-border mountain bike route alongside joint tourism packages and innovative virtual reality experiences. By combining promotional campaigns with community workshops, visitor management plans, and educational programs for schools and marginalized groups, this bilateral partnership drives sustainable regional growth and elevates the visitor experience.
Tourism in the Western Balkans through the lens of the youth
Focused on youth exchanges to tackle the challenges of tourism development in the Western Balkans, while shining a spotlight on lesser-known destinations with untapped potential in Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and North Macedonia. Throughout the project, young participants were equipped with knowledge about local tourism and produced creative video stories showcasing the hidden gems and authentic experiences of their respective countries.
