The project aimed to improve water resource management and empower marginalized communities to access clean water as a fundamental human right. It involved monitoring the implementation of the National Water Resources Strategy and producing five Policy Briefs to strengthen national and local policies on water management.
The project also monitored water quality across four river basins in Kosovo, publishing reports to ensure safe and clean water usage. Additionally, it tracked government actions and progress in climate change and environmental sectors, based on the European Commission's Progress Report, advocating stronger commitments to environmental protection and water governance.
Furthermore, the project established 22 Local Water Councils, building the capacities of their members to advocate for their communities’ right to safe and clean water.
