Protests for river Protection

About the project

As a grassroots environmental advocacy organization, we organized, supported, and mobilized community actions in close cooperation with other CSOs in Peja. These efforts culminated in the historic mass protest on February 25, 2019.

This powerful civic mobilization successfully stopped strategic investment plans to build devastating small hydropower facilities along the Lumbardhi River within the protected Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park.
